The Smart and Integrated Ticketing (SIT) team, in the Bus, Accessible and Active Travel Directorate, was established to deliver the Scottish Ministers smart vision “That all journeys on Scotland’s bus, rail, ferry, subway and tram networks can be accessed using some form of smart ticketing or payment”.
The smart team delivers a wide portfolio of technical and digital ticketing and payment projects for public transport operators, both through concessionary and also commercial products for smaller bus operators. Using a broad range of digital, governance and commercial skills, the team delivers in a complex smart ticketing and payment solutions marketplace, developing bespoke technical and digital solutions for specific product requirements for both public and private bodies.
You will work closely with senior business stakeholders, transport operators, public bodies, supplier partners and internally smart and digital colleagues to ensure that the SIT programme and projects are delivered appropriately, prioritising and managing risk and impact through portfolio monitoring to meet overarching delivery strategic objectives.
The current salary range for this role is £47,504 - £59,229 (pro rata for part time). This post attracts a £4,000 Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) pay supplement after a 9 months competency qualifying period (pro rata for part time). Pay supplements are subject to regular review.
