Transport Planner - Graduate Development Programme

Transport Scotland are in a unique position to offer Graduates a breadth of training and experience across a wide range of personal and technical competencies. Working alongside our partners in the transport sector, we offer our Graduates internal rotations as well as external placements and secondments that will enable you to meet the demanding standards of experience and ability required to become either a Chartered Engineer (CEng) a Chartered Transport Planning Professional (CTPP).

Transport Scotland is pleased to invite applications from suitably qualified Graduates to join its Graduate Development Programme in Autumn 2020. Applicants should be able to demonstrate they have the appropriate educational base to be eligible, and either a hold a UK Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/ or hold an approved UK Transport Master's degree*.

Transport Scotland is the national transport agency for Scotland and is accountable to Parliament and the public through Scottish Ministers, with a budget of around £2 billion per year. Transport is a vital feature of the Scottish Government's focus on tacking climate action and sustainable inclusive economic growth. As part of Transport Scotland you will work on the development of policies and delivery of transport investments in Scotland which will help achieve the outcomes set out the new National Transport Strategy.

Salary

The current salary range for these posts is £29,759 - £34,087 (pro rata for part time).
