A90 Echline junction
All traffic is currently using part of the new carriageway to connect with the Forth Road Bridge. This arrangement will remain, in the most part, until the new crossing opens.
There will be some occasional lane closures on this section of road in order to erect signs and other items both in the verges and on the overhead gantries. Details will be provided ahead of this work being carried out.
During the week commencing 12 June and the week commencing 19 June 2017 there will be overnight lane restrictions implemented each night between 8pm and 6am while works are undertaken overhead between Echline Junction and the M90 Spur. These works will involve the closure of lanes starting on the southbound followed by the northbound depending on the progress of the works each night.
Traffic over the Forth Road Bridge will not be affected.
A90 / M90 Spur Scotstoun
During the weekend of Friday 16 June and Saturday 17 June 2017 signs will be installed on the overhead gantry over the southbound carriageways where the M90 Spur and the A90 split at Scotstoun. This work will involve an overnight closure of the southbound carriageways between 20:00 and 06:00 hours each night.
During these closures the M90 Spur will be closed southbound and all southbound traffic coming from the Forth Road Bridge and the area around Echline junction will be diverted onto the southbound public transport link from the A90 at Echline Junction through to the A90 where it passes to the south of Dalmeny.
As a result traffic which would have used the M90 Spur southbound will be diverted via Barnton, Maybury and Newbridge depending on their intended destination.
Traffic over the Forth Road Bridge (both northbound and southbound) will not be affected.
While the northbound M90 Spur will remain open lane 2 may be closed while the adjacent works are being undertaken.
