Four overnight closures of A725 northbound and southbound carriageways at Raith Underpass

The A725 northbound and southbound carriageways at Raith Underpass will be closed for four nights, from 8pm to 6am, starting Monday 18 October for inspection works.

As a result, the following sections of the carriageway will be closed:

  • A725 southbound carriageway from the off-slip road to Raith roundabout, to the on-slip road from Raith roundabout - Monday 18 & Tuesday 19 October
  • A725 northbound carriageway from the off-slip road to the A7071, to the on-slip road from Raith roundabout - Wednesday 20 & Thursday 21 October

Signed diversion routes will be in place.

The closures are required to ensure road user and road worker safety while essential inspection works are undertaken, and have been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption to traffic. The road will reopen at 6am each morning.

The works will be carried out by Scottish Road Partnership on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of this route and have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland and the emergency services.

All works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
