Week commencing 20/05/2017: Lane closures will be in place on the A90, between 2000 and 0600, from Saturday 20 May to Friday 26 May, to safely facilitate AWPR works.

Week commencing 27/05/2017: Lane closures will be in place on the A90, between 2000 and 0600, from Saturday 27 May to Friday 02 June, to safely facilitate AWPR works.

Contraflow will be in operation on the A90 from 0600 on Wednesday 22 March, to safely facilitate AWPR works. The contraflow will consist of two lanes of traffic heading northbound and one lane southbound during the daytime and 1 lane of traffic heading northbound and 1 lane of traffic heading southbound overnight. This is expected to add between 10 and 20 minutes to journeys during morning and evening peak travelling periods for road users heading south.

A90 to B979 Northbound Diverge Slip Road

Week commencing 20/05/2017: Contraflow will be in operation from 0600 on Wednesday 22 March to safely facilitate AWPR works.

Week commencing 20/05/2017: Contraflow will be in operation from 0600 on Wednesday 22 March to safely facilitate AWPR works.

B979 (South of junction with A90 northbound slip roads)

Week commencing 20/05/2017: 2 way temporary traffic signals will be in operation between 0700 and 1900 from Friday 14 April 2017 for a period of approximately 2 months. The lights will be manually controlled at peak times between 0700 and 0930 and between 1530 and 1800 daily to safely facilitate AWPR enabling works. A road closure will be in place overnight from 2000 to 0600 on Friday 26 May for 3 nights to safely facilitate AWPR works. Local diversions will be in place whilst the road closure is in operation.

The lights will be manually controlled at peak times between 0700 and 0930 and between 1530 and 1800 daily to safely facilitate AWPR enabling works. A road closure will be in place overnight from 2000 to 0600 on Friday 26 May for 3 nights to safely facilitate AWPR works. Local diversions will be in place whilst the road closure is in operation.

A 40mph temporary speed restriction is in place at Stonehaven to facilitate the safe use of multiple AWPR site accesses alongside existing road users. This is expected to be in place for the duration of the project’s construction works.

The project results in the permanent closure of this road to vehicular traffic, with an underpass providing continuity of passage for non-motorised users. Vehicular traffic will be able to access the U88K by means of a new link road to be constructed east of the main carriageway of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. The date for permanent closure of this road will be advised when confirmed.
