Travelling during COVID-19
Helping you to plan ahead and stay travel safe
It's more important than ever to stay up to date with travel advice. You can help keep Scotland moving by:
Reducing the need to travel: Work from home if you can and stay local for shopping and services.
Planning ahead: If you need to make an essential journey, check your travel options in advance.
Choosing active travel: Walk, wheel or cycle where possible.
Staying travel safe: Help ensure we have a safe public transport system, available to those most in need.
On 16 March the Scottish Government published its timetable for easing COVID-19 restrictions over the coming weeks and months. Stay at Home regulations were lifted on 2 April and replaced with guidance to Stay Local.
On 13 April details on accelerating the easing of restrictions and updated local protection levels were published.
