Road Safety Scotland (RSS) sits within the Road Safety Policy and Education area of Transport Scotland’s Roads Directorate. From its nominal base in Buchanan House in Glasgow, RSS has responsibility for Transport Scotland’s road safety learning and publicity activity. This includes the development and maintenance of learning resources for 3-18 year-olds, social marketing on a variety of campaigns, participation in events and forming partnerships with relevant organisations to further the objectives of RSS.
The team is currently recruiting for an Education Adviser, who will have responsibility for the Learning aspects of the business, working closely with the Assistant Director to ensure road safety learning resources remain relevant and current. We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of the Scottish Education system, especially in relation to Curriculum for Excellence to fill this exciting and varied role.
The current salary range for this role is £30,652 - £35,110 (pro rata for part time).
Transport Scotland is the national transport agency for Scotland and is accountable to Parliament and the public through Scottish Ministers, with a budget of around £2 billion per year.
