We are now seeking a Project Manager to join us to support delivery of national smart ticketing project, including data and digital services projects, smartcard and mobile application developments, as well as improvements to the back office and transaction systems that are used by the majority of public transport operators, and public sector delivery partners, across Scotland on a daily basis.
By modernising and making access to public transport easier and more convenient, the SIT programme aims to encourage model shift to more sustainable public transport and reduce car journeys, delivering against key Government objectives to lower carbon emissions and take climate action. As such the role is currently part funded by the Low Carbon Travel and Transport Programme under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) but as a permanent position will continue after this funding route is closed in December 2023.
This post is part of a small programme delivery team, which works to agile and waterfall methodology to deliver complex projects. You will report to the Senior Project Manager to identify work priorities for the programme and wider concessionary travel unit, and be responsible for leading and delivering smart projects, often coordinating multiple workstreams, to meet Transport Scotland and wider Government goals.
