When does this start?
You can get the residents fare price on the Transport Scotland subsidised air services between Glasgow Airport and Barra/Tiree from 25 October 2023 until 24 October 2027.
Who can get a Residents Fare Card?
Anyone whose permanent/main residence is on Barra, Coll or Tiree (including students studying away from home and people who live on Vatersay).

How does it work?
- You apply for a Residents Fare Card
- If you are eligible you will then receive the card and a PIN number
- When you book your tickets on the airline website you can use the number on your residents fare card and the PIN to get the residents fare price

How long does it take to get the card
Please allow up to 21 days for the application to be processed.
In exceptional circumstances, we will do everything we can to process your application quicker so you can book unexpected travel at the Residents Fare rate. If this is the case, please let us know when you need the card by.
