Utilisation of electric vehicle interest free loans: FOI release

Information requested

Please advise of the uptake to-date of monies available through the Scottish Government’s interest free loan schemes for electric vehicles (incl. used electric vehicles). Where possible, this information should be broken down as follows:

• Number of successful applications pertaining to new EVs
• Total amount loaned to-date for new EVs
• Number of successful applications pertaining to used EVs (individual)
• Total amount loaned to-date for used EVs (individual)
• Number of successful applications pertaining to used EVs (business)
• Total amount loaned to-date for used EVs (business)

Uptake of grant towards the installation of a home charging point:

• The number of successful applications and total sum awarded to-date

Please advise of the number of applications that have been or are currently under investigation in relation to suspected fraud and the sums involved.
