Queensferry Crossing delivering benefits for Scottish businesses

Millar-Callaghan are one of a number of firms across Scotland benefitting from the award of subcontracts and supply orders for the Forth Replacement Crossing (FRC).

The company supply the stairways and platforms that will be installed inside the Queensferry Crossing’s towers from foundation level to cable level. To date they have received 9 purchase orders for the FRC, with a total value of approximately £1.2 million.

The orders have allowed the company to increase the number of people they employ, take on additional trainees and secure future business.

During the visit Mr Brown will see the fabrication workshop and some completed orders for the Queensferry Crossing as well as meeting employees and trainees.

Mr Brown will be available for photographs and interviews along with David Millar, Managing Director Millar-Callaghan along with other company employees and trainees.
