Statement on latest National Rail Passenger Survey Results

A Transport Scotland spokesperson said

“These latest results are encouraging and demonstrate passengers appreciate the efforts made to improve overall satisfaction.

“While Scotland’s railways continue to compare well on average with other similar operators in the rest of Great Britain, it is important any operator not only meets customer expectations but also strives to exceed them. That is why ScotRail is already taking action to tackle issues around capacity and punctuality through ongoing recruitment, the introduction of new and longer trains, plus more services and more seats than ever before.

“Ministers would encourage ScotRail to build on these results and the improved performance seen in recent weeks to ensure they continue to drive up customer service and satisfaction to where it belongs.”
