A95 Gaich to Craggan section improvements

Without the implementation of this scheme the proposed extension of the railway network between Strathspey and Grantown-on-Spey will not be possible, as the road requires a bridge to cross the site of the previous railway line.

Impact on travel

By improving the alignment of the trunk road at this location the characteristics of the A95 will be more consistent over its length.  This will reduce driver confusion and lead to a safer road.

Traffic management

Significant disruption to the flow of traffic is unavoidable with this project. However, with the use of carefully planned traffic management delays this will be kept to a minimum.
