Assessments of the environmental effects
Following the assessment presented in this Record of Determination, and assuming the implementation of the proposed mitigation measures and adherence to best practice, residual effects are anticipated to be not significant, with no significant effects on the environment.
The following environmental surveys/reviews/consultations have been undertaken:
- Environmental Scoping Assessment (ESA) undertaken by Amey’s Environmental Team in May 2026
- A Preliminary Ecological Walkover (PEW) and report undertaken by Amey’s Ecology Team in April 2026.
- Due to nighttime programming, Dumfries and Galloway Council Consultation undertaken by Amey’s Environmental Team in May 2026.
- Habitats Regulations Stage 1 Screening Appraisal (HRA) report undertaken by Amey’s Ecology Team in May 2026
