Summary of Site Notes:

Still and clear conditions with ambient temperatures of around 2.5 deg C. Low levels of ambient noise, however dominant source is road traffic noise from the A82. Only other observed source was sporadic birdsong and occasional movements of vehicles on the access road to Willow Square, but no through traffic on this route as the road ends at a single dwelling just beyond the square. On the second morning, damp and drizzly conditions were noted with a small increase in temperature. The mist had come in, decreasing visibility. There was no frost, although patches of snow remained from an earlier fall.

Summary of Site Notes:

Ambient temperature around 3.5-4 deg C, damp, misty conditions.

Ambient noise levels low in a similar manner to Location 1. Road traffic noise is also the dominant source at this location. No close range vehicle movements as dwellings are set back from the road and do not have driveways approaching them. An increase in precipitation was noted on the second morning but no frost was observed whilst mist remained.
