Assessments of the environmental effects

As detailed in the Description of Main Environmental Impacts and Proposed Mitigation section within this Record of Determination, there are no significant effects anticipated on any environmental receptors as a result of the proposed works.

An HRA was undertaken due to the scheme’s proximity and ecological connectivity with the Loch Lomond Woods SAC, Loch Lomond SPA and Loch Lomond Ramsar, which concluded that the works will not result in LSE on the designated feature of the Loch Lomond Woods SAC, Loch Lomond SPA and Loch Lomond Ramsar due to the following reasons:

• Distance between the above sites and proposed works.
• Lack of habitat removal/alteration during works due to works being restricted to the resurfacing of the existing A82 carriageway.
• Abundant habitat in the surrounding area within these sites.
