Vulnerability of the project to risks

The works will be programmed out-with the heavy rain events where possible. The likelihood of flooding on the A82 within the scheme extents upon completion of the works is expected to be reduced.

Works are restricted to the made ground of the A82 carriageway and TM will be designed in line with existing guidance. TM will consist of night time (19:00-06:00) single lane closures with a 10mph convoy in place during the works at the A82 South of Highland Boundary scheme, and at the A82 White Corries the TM will consist of an overnight road closure with regular amnesty periods.

The works will not result in any change in vulnerability of the A82 to risk, or in severity of major accidents/disasters that would impact on the environment.

These measures, along with mitigation measures and standard working practices, will be detailed in the SEMP and adhered to on site. The vulnerability of the project to risks of major accidents and disasters is considered to be low.
