- A review of the signage within popular tourist locations should be undertaken to ensure it is sufficient. Regular usage should be made of matrix signs to display messages reminding pedestrians to use crossing facilities correctly. Consideration could be given to displaying this in different languages (e.g. Chinese, German, Dutch).

- Partner agencies to assess M8 motorway, carry out assessment and add signage where appropriate to highlight the risks of accessing motorways to pedestrians.
- Adding signs at each slip road along the M8, re-enforcing pedestrians are not permitted to access the motorway, could be considered.
