Hillside Conditions

·       Daily monitoring has continued through the period.

·       Weather has predominantly been dry throughout the Spring / Summer.

·       Hillside conditions have been relatively stable with no issues impacting the trunk road.

·       No use of the Old Military Road in the period.

·       Maintenance work was paused and temporary traffic signals removed over summer at the request of the Taskforce.

• Stockproof Fence being installed on the slope above the trunk road to protect young trees.
• Maintenance in debris pits and channels.
• 3a and 3b lower slope scour works.
• Westbound drainage improvements.

Traffic Management

• Traffic management only in place to facilitate essential works.
• Works undertaken during daytime for safety and efficiency reasons.
• During wetter seasons queuing under key channels is not advisable meaning that the coned off area is longer.
• Works will be paused at Christmas / New Year.
• Works will be paused during the busier summer period.
