Emerging Outcomes

·       Depth to bedrock established – variable, deeper / shallower than Stage 3 assumptions

·       Bedrock strength equal to greater than Stage 3 assumptions

·       High groundwater levels at the southern extent of the scheme and within the Rest and Be Thankful car park

 

The results of the ground Investigations are available on the British Geological Society (BGS) website.

·       In line with industry practice, Ground Model currently being concluded to inform Specimen Design in line with the now established ground parameters, including:

o   Catch-pit

o   Culverts

o   Debris Flow Shelter foundations

o   Rock cut opposite car park

o   Watercourse cascade structures
