Claims Process

PSV operators who wish to claim NSG will be required to complete a Compliance Statement in respect of Fair Work First and an online claim form setting out their organisation details and estimated kilometres for the claim period which is 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Section 19 and 22 Permit operators who wish to claim NSG will be required to complete a Pre-registration Eligibility Form, a Compliance Statement in respect of Fair Work First and maintain records of the kilometres operated in line with the 4-week periods in support of their certified claim submission.

Submitted claims will be processed and if successful an award letter will be issued, setting out the grant terms and conditions.

Operators must read these carefully, then sign and return the declaration agreeing to comply with the terms and conditions as laid out for them. No payment will be issued until a Fair Work First Compliance Statement and a signed Grant Award Letter has been returned to us.

At the end of the financial year, operators must complete the relevant declaration (Schedule 3) and submit a certified record of actual kilometres run for the financial year 2024-25. Should an operator cease trading or no longer wish to claim NSG during the claim period, Schedule 3 of the grant award letter and a certified claim must be submitted at that time.

All changes in circumstance which may affect NSG entitlement or payment must be notified timeously.

For section 19 & 22, or DRT operators, certified claims will be submitted twice annually however kilometres should be recorded in line with the four week claim periods (which can be found in the Payments section below). Your first claim will be for 7 periods (between April and October) and your second claim will be for 6 periods (between October and March). See further guidance contained within this document.
