Summary

Overview

A total of 330 people attended the five in-person public exhibition events which were held in Campbeltown, Lochgilphead, Lochgoilhead, Dunoon and Arrochar between 15 and 21 January 2025. This included attendance from stakeholders, the local community and road users.

Two virtual public exhibition rooms were available on the Transport Scotland website from 13 December 2024 to 10 February 2025. The virtual exhibition rooms received 1,865 unique (first time) views during the statutory consultation period, with the MTS room receiving more unique (first time) views than the LTS room.

Next steps

Transport Scotland has considered all formal representations received for the MTS and LTS as part of the statutory consultation and has responded directly to all respondents.

Transport Scotland will continue to engage with key stakeholders and communities affected by the issues at the A83 Rest and Be Thankful. Information will be shared with stakeholders and communities across Argyll and Bute as the scheme develops.
