NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991 - THE SCOTTISH ROAD WORKS REGISTER (PRESCRIBED FEES) REGULATIONS 2013

The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, as amended by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005, provides for the Scottish Road Works Commissioner to keep a register of road works throughout Scotland (The Scottish Road Works Register).

We wish to consult on the Scottish Road Works Register (Prescribed Fees) Regulations 2013 which set out the method of calculation of the fees that are required to be paid as a condition of access to the Scottish Road Works Register. There is an overall reduction in the costs to keep the register of £164,000 or 16%. A copy of the draft Regulation is enclosed.
