Update
AI opened the meeting noting the regular feature of corporate meetings on EoI & FoI performance had been taken via correspondence on this occasion. Noting recent good performance in this area and the need to maintain this. AI suggested this topic was presented at an upcoming all-staff call and a briefing note sent to the Cabinet Secretary on performance.
AI and KT updated on the recent savings submission, noting thanks to all for their contributions. Similarly, AI mentioned the recent Programme for Government commission thanking those who contributed across the organisation and there was a discussion scheduled with the Cabinet Secretary later in the afternoon.
Finance
KT provided an update on the TS financial position and other finance matters as of 28 February 2025. BS updated on the outcome of a recently completed recruitment and there was discussion about experiences with the new recruitment process. There was also discussion about live Accountable Officer templates, the processes and levels of clearance involved.
Staff conference
SW introduced objectives, outcomes for the Conference, with some areas marked out for guidance from SMT members. SW confirmed responses to invitations received from the Cabinet Secretary, Mr Fairlie, Special Advisors, and most sponsor bodies.
Actions
- SW to set up discussion with AI and KT on the Kelpies session.
- LS and CW to encourage their teams to have a greater role in planning and delivery of the Conference.
- Directors to each come up with something to sell or raffle to help raise money for charity at the event.
