Transport Scotland Procurement Strategy 2012 - 2015

Executive Summary

Procurement is not an end in itself. It should be undertaken to further the strategic objectives of the organisation.

As an agency of the Scottish Government, Transport Scotland's Procurement Strategy 2012-15, in line with its Corporate Plan 2012-15, sets out the strategic direction for procurement activity for the next three years. The strategy supports the Scottish Government's Public Procurement Reform Programme (PPRP), to make the best use of public money, taking account of its legal obligations.

Transport Scotland is committed to improving sustainability in the procurement of transport infrastructure and services.
