Section 1 of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 requires the Scottish Ministers to consider whether policies have impacts on children and young people and to assess what further action is required to ensure compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
During 2019 the Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland (MACS) undertook research to explore the transport barriers faced by disabled people and older people when accessing health and social care appointments and facilities.
