The A68 (Cranstoun Church) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2018

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A68 Edinburgh – Carter Bar Trunk Road from the A6106 Fordel Junction merge south to the B6372 Oxenfoord Junction, a total distance of 1.9 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the Cranston Remembrance Sunday event will be in operation from 11 November 2018 until 12 November 2018 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as and is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.
