The A702 Trunk Road (Hillend) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) (No. 2) Order 2023

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of temporarily prohibiting traffic from waiting, loading and unloading on that length of the A702 Edinburgh to Abington Trunk Road from a point 411 metres south of the circulatory carriageway of the southernmost roundabout at Lothianburn Junction, on the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass westbound off slip, in a southerly direction for a distance of 200 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required because works are being proposed to be executed on or near the road will be in operation on 8th November 2023 until 7th November 2024 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or vehicles being used for carrying out the works.
