The A75 Trunk Road (Haugh of Urr) (Temporary 30mph and 20mph Speed Restrictions and Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they have made the above Order, under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing temporary speed restrictions of 30mph and 20mph on that length of the A75 Gretna - Stranraer Trunk Road from a point 200 metres or thereby south of the extended centre line of the junction with the B794 to Corsock, to a point 730 metres or thereby north of the extended centre line of the junction with the B794 to Haugh of Urr, a distance of 1240 metres or thereby.

The Order will also have the effect of temporarily prohibiting the use of parts of that length of the A75 Gretna - Stranraer Trunk Road from a point 310 metres or thereby north of the extended centre line of the junction with the B794 to Haugh of Urr, to a point 530 metres or thereby north of the extended centre line of that junction, a distance of 220 metres or thereby.

The Order will be in place from 2 October 2017 to 7 October 2017 and is required to ensure that a roadside interview survey may be undertaken safely. A risk to staff working within the site has been identified while traffic is travelling at the normal road speed.

Alternative Routes

An alternative route for traffic during the restriction is not required.
