The A76 Trunk Road (Enterkinfoot to Thornhill) Compulsory Purchase Order 201[ ]

Notice is hereby given that the Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by the above mentioned Acts, on the 14 September 2018 prepared a Compulsory Purchase Order entitled “The A76 Trunk Road (Enterkinfoot  to Thornhill) Compulsory Purchase Order 201[ ]” which affects the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of improving a length of the A76 Dumfries to Kilmarnock Trunk Road between Enterkinfoot  and Thornhill.

The Order is about to be made and comes into operation only if made. If the Order is made, a conveyance registered in implement of the Order may vary or extinguish rights to enforce real burdens and servitudes affecting the land.

Copies of the draft Order and of the map referred to therein have been deposited at the following offices and may be seen there without payment of fee during normal business hours from 21 September until 02 November 2018:- Transport Scotland, 5th Floor Reception, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF; Council Headquarters, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2DD and Sanquhar Community Library, 106 High Street, Sanquhar, DG4 6DZ. 

Any person may object to the making of the Order, by notice in writing, to the Director of Trunk Road and Bus Operations, c/o Karl McAreavey at Transport Scotland, 4th Floor, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF quoting reference SW/A76/ENTERKINFOOT CPO/KM and stating the grounds of objection. Any objections must be received on or before 02 November 2018.
