The A76 Trunk Road (Main Street, Kirkconnel) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2022

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic from waiting, loading and unloading on that length of the A76 Dumfries – Kilmarnock Trunk Road from its junction with Needle Street, Kirkconnel in a west facing direction along A76 Main Street, Kirkconnel to the Alexander Anderson monument, a distance of 426 metres or thereby.

The Order, is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be in operation from 7 March until 12 March 2022 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.

An alternative route is not required.
