The A76 Trunk Road (Sanquhar) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A76 Dumfries – Kilmarnock Trunk Road from a point 50 metres or thereby north of its junction with the B740 to a point 20 metres or thereby south of its junction with the B740, a distance of 70 metres or thereby

The Order, is required to allow access to underground structure cabling and will be in operation from the 2nd July 2017 until the 3rd July 2017.  The prohibition on use will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as and when indicated by a police officer in uniform during the period of prohibition.

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used to facilitate the holding of the event or vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, coastguard, ambulance or police purposes but will only have effect in relation to such length(s) of road as indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

Alternative Routes

Alternative route for traffic is not required.
