The A78 Trunk Road (Branchton) (Temporary Prohibition of Specified Turns) (No. 3) Order 2020

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) and 124(1)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting specified turns on the following lengths of road:

Specified Length of Road

That length of A78 Greenock to Prestwick Trunk Road, known as Inverkip Road, being the north and southbound carriageways from its junction with Cumberland Road to Neil Street, a distance of 636 metres or thereby.

Prohibition of Specified Turns

All right turns from A78 Inverkip Road southbound onto Gleninver Road.
All left turns from A78 Inverkip Road northbound onto Gleninver Road.
All right turns from A78 Inverkip Road southbound onto Branchton Road.
All left turns from A78 Inverkip Road northbound onto Branchton Road.

The Order, which is required to facilitate works will be in operation from 7 September until 1 November 2020 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.

The A78 Trunk Road (Branchton) (Temporary Prohibition of Specified Turns) (No. 2) Order 2020 is revoked.
