The A78 Trunk Road (Fairlie) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 201[]

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under section 84(1)(a), and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of schedule 9 of, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a 30mph speed limit on that length  of the A78 Greenock - Prestwick Trunk Road at Fairlie from a point 53 metres or thereby north of the access road to Baillie Road southwards to a point in line with the southernmost kerbline of the private road to Southannan Estate, a distance of 2.317 kilometres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved, the order being revoked and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 12 September 2018 until 10 October 2018 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF; North Ayrshire Council Office, 27 Vernon St, Saltcoats, KA21 5HE and Fairlie Library, 76 Main Rd, Fairlie, Largs, KA29 0AB

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Director of Trunk Road and Bus Operations, c/o Kieran McLachlan, Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF quoting reference SW/A78/KM by 10 October 2018.
