The A82 Trunk Road (Glencoe) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2020

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road from a point 93 metres or thereby west of its junction with the Old Glencoe Road in a general south easterly direction to a point at its junction with the unclassified access road to Allt Na Reigh Cottage, a distance of 4.3 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to works will be in operation from 20 September until 23 September 2020. It is anticipated that the restrictions will only be in operation for short periods of approximately 5 minute intervals between the hours of 5am and 12pm and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.
