The A82 Trunk Road (Inverherive) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2026

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1), 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of temporarily prohibiting waiting on that length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road at Inverherive, from a point 1.4 kilometres or thereby north of the A85 junction, in a generally north westerly direction to a point 5.4 kilometres or thereby south of the U010144 junction, Tyndrum, on the A82 at Inverherive, a distance of 170 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public, will be in operation from 19:00 hours on 7 June 2026 to 07:00 hours on 8 June 2026 and from 19:00 hours on 16 June 2026 to 07:00 hours on 17 June 2026 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to a vehicle being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.

Alternative routes

An alternative route for traffic during the prohibition is via the A82, A85, A819 and A83.

Statement of Compatibility
