The A83 Trunk Road (Campbeltown) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) (No. 3) Order 2023

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A83 Tarbet – Lochgilphead – Campbeltown Trunk Road from its junction with Glengyle Road, Campbeltown in a general south easterly direction in Millknowne Road then Aqualibrium Avenue and Kinloch Road then in a general south westerly direction at Old Quay Head to Main Street Town Hall, Campbeltown, a distance of 705 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the Campbeltown Christmas Parade 2023 and to enable members of the public to participate in this event, will be in operation on 24th November until 25th November 2023. It is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place for approximately 30 minutes at 18:30hrs and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.
