The A83 Trunk Road (Inveraray) (Temporary Prohibition On Use of Road) Order 2017 (1)

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A83 Tarbet – Lochgilphead – Campbeltown Trunk Road in Inveraray from the point Main Street South becomes Main Street West in a generally north easterly direction in Main Street West and then Main Street East then in a north westerly direction in Front Street East to its junction with The Avenue, Inveraray, a distance of 245 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the Inveraray Remembrance Parade 2017 and to enable members of the public to participate in this event, will be in operation from 12 November until 13 November 2017 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.

Alternative Routes

An alternative route for traffic during the prohibition is not required.
