The A83 Trunk Road (Inveraray) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2017

The Scottish Minutes give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A temporarily prohibiting traffic on That length of the A83 Tarbet – Lochgilphead – Campbeltown Trunk Road from its junction with Church Square, Inveraray in a northerly then north easterly direction along that part of the trunk road known as Main Street East and then in a north westerly direction along that part of the trunk road known as Front Street West to its junction with the entrance to Inveraray Castle, a distance of 310 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the Inveraray Jail Break Race, and to enable members of the public to watch this event, will be in operation from 1000 hours until 1200 hours on 14th May 2017. The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire service, coastguard, ambulance or police purposes or to acts done with the permission or upon the direction of a police constable in uniform. The prohibitions contained in the order will only be operational when the signage referred to in the order is in place.

Alternative Routes

An alternative route for traffic during the prohibition is not required.
