The A830 and A82 Trunk Road (Fort William to Invergarry) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the following Order under section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984:

The A887 and A82 Trunk Road (Invermoriston To Inverness) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2017 which  will temporarily prohibit traffic on the following lengths of road during the period 28th June 2017 until the 4th July 2017.

  1. That length of the A887 Invermoriston – Moriston Trunk Road from its junction with the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road westwards to a point 150 metres or thereby west of that junction, a distance of 150 metres or thereby.
  2. That length of the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road known as Glenurquhart Road, Inverness from a point about 100 metres or thereby southwest of its junction with Bught Drive to a point about 100 metres or thereby northeast of that junction with Bught Drive, Inverness, a distance of 200 metres or thereby.

The Order is required to enable a filming crew to cross the carriageway safely with their equipment. Restrictions will be in operation for short periods of no more than  10 minutes. The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, coastguard, ambulance or police purposes or vehicles being used in connection with filming and placing of the required signage but will only have effect in relation to such length(s) of road as indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

Alternative Routes

Alternative route for traffic is not required.
