The A84/A85 Trunk Road (Callander) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road, Waiting, Loading and Unloading and Temporary Speed Restrictions) Order 2021

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and 2, 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting use, waiting, loading and unloading and imposing a temporary speed restriction on that length of the A84/A85 Stirling - Crianlarich Trunk Road from a point 35 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with Gerisher Road, Callander in a general north westwards direction on Stirling Road and Main Street, Callander to itsĀ  junction with Cross Street, Callander, a distance of 1.3 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate a carriageway resurfacing programme will be in operation from 27 February until 26 March 2021 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. It is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place until 19 March 2021 during the hours of 7pm until 7am, an additional week has been added for contingency purposes. Access to pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police, coastguard purposes, a vehicle being used for carrying out the works or vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
