The A85 Trunk Road (Laggan Park to Bridge Street, Comrie) (Temporary Prohibition On Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2019

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic from waiting, loading and unloading on the following lengths of road:-

1. The A84/A85 Stirling - Crianlarich Trunk Road from M9 offslip at Craigforth Roundabout, in a generally northwards direction to its junction with A82 Dallnottar – Inverness Trunk Road at Crianlarich, a distance of 71 kilometres or thereby.

2. The A82 Dallnottar – Inverness Trunk Road from its junction with the A84/A85 Stirling - Crianlarich Trunk Road at Crianlarich, in a generally northeasterly direction to its junction with A85 Tyndrum - Oban Trunk Road at Tyndrum, a distance of 7.8 kilometres or thereby.

3. The A85 Tyndrum - Oban Trunk Road from its junction with the A82 Dallnottar – Inverness Trunk Road at Tyndrum, in a generally westwards direction to its access to Cruachan Power Station, a distance of 28.5 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the movements of abnormal loads, will be in operation from 20 September until 4 November 2019 but will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs and it is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place intermittently throughout the period.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.
