The A85 Trunk Road (Oban) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2018

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A85 Tyndrum - Oban Trunk Road from its junction with Corran Esplanade, Oban in a generally north easterly direction to the junction with Dunollie Road, Oban, then in a southwards direction in Dunollie Road and George Street, Oban to its junction with Queen’s Park Place, Oban, a distance of 750 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the holding of the Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival Parade and to enable members of the public to watch this event will be in operation from 5 May 2018 until the 6 May 2018. 

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.

Alternative Routes

An alternative route for traffic during the prohibition is not required.
