The A86 Trunk Road (Newtonmore) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2018

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and 2, 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A86 Spean Bridge – Kingussie Trunk Road in Laggan Road, Newtonmore from its junction with Loch na Leoba Road, Newtonmore in a north easterly direction to a point 30 metres or thereby south west of the junction with Craigdhu Road, a distance of 210 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate repairs to defective Scottish Water ironwork and to enable the works to be carried out safely, will be in operation from 24 October until 26 October 2018 but will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.
