The A87 Trunk Road (Eilean Donan) (Clearway) Order 202[ ]
The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 1(1)(c), 2(1) and 2(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a restriction on stopping on that length of the A87 Invergarry – Kyle of Lochalsh – Borve - Uig Trunk Road from a point 1.61 kilometres or thereby south-east of the extended centreline of the unclassified Eilean Donan Castle Car Park access junction to a point 1.61 kilometres or thereby north-west of the extended centreline of the unclassified Eilean Donan Castle Car Park access junction, a distance of 3.22 kilometres or thereby.
Full details of the proposal are contained the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved, a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 25 April 2025 until 19 May 2025 at Coop Food, Kyle of Lochalsh, 1 Bridge Road, Kyle of Lochalsh, IV40 8BH and at the offices of Transport Scotland 177 Bothwell Street Glasgow G2 7ER.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Director of Roads, c/o Lynn Battison, Transport Scotland, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER reference NW/A87/LB or by email to TRO-Objections@transport.gov.scot by 19 May 2025.
