The A87 Trunk Road (Luib) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) (No. 2) Order 2018

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on:

That length of the A87 Invergarry – Kyle of Lochalsh – Borve - Uig Trunk Road from a point 1.4 kilometres or thereby northeast of the eastmost junction with the Luib Village Road in a generally southwestwards direction to a point 3 kilometres or thereby southwest of the westmost Luib Village Road junction, a distance of 4.4 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate filming on the Trunk Road, will be in operation from 18 September 2018 to 19 September 2018. The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used to facilitate the holding of the event.

Alternative Routes

An alternative route for traffic during the prohibition is not required as restrictions will only be in place for approximately 2 minutes intervals intermittently throughout the day.
