The A9 Trunk Road (Ardullie to Evanton) (Temporary Prohibition of Specified Turns) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road from a point 1510 metres or thereby northeast of its junction with the A862 at Ardullie Roundabout, Dingwall in a north-easterly direction to a point 1560 metres or thereby northeast of its junction with the A862 at Ardullie Roundabout, a distance of 50 metres or thereby from making the following turns:

  1. All left turns from the northeast bound carriageway of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to the road known as Foulis Station Road.
  2. All left turns from Foulis Station Road to the northeast bound carriageway of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.
  3. All right turns from the southwest bound carriageway of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road to Foulis Station Road.
  4. All right turns from Foulis Station Road to the southwest bound carriageway of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.

The Order, which is required to facilitate works on that length of trunk road, will be in operation from 8 October 2017 until 25 October 2017, will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in the placing of the required signage or vehicles being used in an emergency for fire service, coastguard, ambulance or police purposes.
