The A99 Trunk Road (Bruan Church) (Stopping Up) Order 201[ ]

Notice is hereby given that the Scottish Ministers propose to make an Order under section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping up the length of road described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the Order is The A99 Trunk Road (Bruan Church) (Stopping Up) Order 201[ ]

A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the length of road to be stopped up have been deposited at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, Reception, 9th Floor, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4 0HF. Those documents are available for inspection, free of charge from 28 April 2017 until the 25 May 2017

Those documents are also available for inspection, free of charge, at the following locations, between the same dates and the following times:-

  • Lybster Post Office, Main Street, Lybster, Caithness, KW3 6AE: 0700 – 1900 (Monday – Saturday) and 0800 – 1700 (Sunday) ; and
  • The Highland Council, Caithness House, Market Square, Wick, KW1 4AB during normal business hours.

ANY PERSON may, within 28 days from 28 April 2017, object to the making of the Order by notice in writing to the Scottish Ministers, Transport Scotland, Trunk Roads and Bus Operations, 8th Floor, Buchanan House, Glasgow G4 0HF. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO BE STOPPED UP

That length of the A99 Latheron – Wick Trunk Road being the layby on the left hand side of the northbound carriageway of that trunk road situated 150 metres or thereby east of the extended east verge line of the junction with the access road to Tulloch Lea Farm eastwards to a point 275 metres or thereby east of the junction with the access road to Tulloch Lea Farm, a distance of 125 metres or thereby.
