Travel demand forecasts from our Land-use and Transport models

A two-year study in collaboration with Scotland’s Timber Transport Groups to identify, develop and test a consistent methodology for the collection and collation of a national database of exit points where timber tonnages would join the public road network.

During 2019 the Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland (MACS) undertook research to explore the transport barriers faced by disabled people and older people when accessing health and social care appointments and facilities. They gathered insights and information on initiatives that worked well to gain a better understanding of the issues and barriers.

The report summarises the findings from a qualitative research project investigating the transport barriers facing families and young people living in poverty.

The study analyses a range of scenarios including differing levels of zero-emission vehicle uptake and changes in travel behaviour to understand the magnitude and range of change required for Scotland to meet its climate change targets.
