Roads Project kick-starts ‘Road Safety Week’Scottish Roads Partnership (SRP), the company responsible for building the £500 million M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements Project is supporting national Road Safety Week (23 – 29 Nov) by launching a poster design competition for children in local primary schools.

Motorists Reminded to Expect Delays on A8/M8, M73 and M74Transport Scotland, the national transport agency for Scotland, is reminding road users in Central Scotland to use caution and to drive safely when approaching and driving through works on its major trunk roads, ahead of National Road Safety Week (23 – 29 Nov.)

Major works progress to next stageThe contraflow currently in operation on the M74 northbound carriageway, between the off and on slip roads at Junction 5, Raith, is scheduled to switch to the southbound carriageway this weekend (21/22 November 2015) and will remain in place for approximately nine months.

Examples of bridge options being developed to cross the River Spey near Kingussie will go on display this week as part of the consultation process for the A9 Dualling Crubenmore to Kincraig scheme.

Public exhibitions were held in Newtonmore Village Hall on 18 & 19 November 2015 to let the public view and comment on initial design work, including route and junction options, for the Crubenmore to Kincraig dualling project
